The Sol Purpose Philosophy

Sol Purpose

“A cloud does not put out the sun.” - A Crash Course in Miracles

The sun makes everything possible.  While you are being turned about in the tumultuous waves of life, she is always there - waiting, holding steady and each time the waves tumble you around and you see her glimmer, you are being shown which way is up. You can trust that she will always be there, no matter how dark the night gets.

Soul Purpose

“Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are.” - Brene Brown

Similar to, but different than a person’s Sole Purpose, a Soul’s Purpose in this life is to realize the most authentic version of the Self.  This is expressed through the Sole Purpose and it will look different than anyone else’s.  Limiting beliefs we are carrying from a long time ago, social/familial conditioning and confusion about how to reimagine your life outside of these things can all affect the expression of the Soul’s Purpose.

Sole Purpose

“The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.” - Alan Watts

This is the thing you were meant to be doing in this life.  It could be rescuing animals, baking the most delicious cakes, summiting every mountain in the world or making the people in your immediate vicinity feel loved at all times - it will look different for everyone and it is not always connected to what you do for income.

Change is the only constant.

Life is inherently an iterative process. You try some things, they don’t work, so you try some other things… When you get clear on your values you can build a life that is authentic and truly unique. When you get clear on your values, you can hold each decision up to their fire to make sure you’re headed in the right direction.
